ICB HVAC Fire Life Safety technician, supervisor and contractor certifications are accredited through the American National Standard Institute (ANSI), and it is the first and only ANSI-recognized program in the HVAC Fire Life Safety scope. Rigorous educational courses take place independently at 165 training centers nationwide, followed by proctored, comprehensive written exams.
ICB-certified fire and smoke damper professionals possess the knowledge and skills required to inspect and test fire and smoke dampers installed in HVAC systems. ICB-certified smoke control systems professionals have competency in controls, smoke management and stairway pressurization.
ICB/TABB is the first program to gain ANSI accreditation under ISO 17024 for certification in the HVAC testing, adjusting and balancing and fire life safety industry.
